DNA Interest Group Meets Online  (Special Interest Groups)

The April topics for this group will be an intro to Google Earth Pro following a review of "My Google Maps".  Google Earth Pro is free of charge and can be installed on a Windows, Mac or Linux computer. A setup file can be downloaded from here: https://www.google.com/earth/versions/#earth-pro. Be sure to click the "Download Earth Pro on desktop" button in the middle of the screen.  After that, go to your Downloads area and click on the setup file to complete installation.
 
The DNA Interest Group meets online on the second Saturday of each month.  There is no charge for joining this online class.  Meeting times vary.  If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Sharlene Miller (sharlenekmiller@outlook.com) to be added to the email list.  You will receive announcements of upcoming meeting times and dates and a link to join the discussion.


Annual Membership Meeting  (Membership Meeting)

The next General Membership meeting will be held at the library office on Thursday, April 24th. 
You should receive a ballot with the nominatees for next year's officers by February 20th.  Ballots for election of officers are due by April 10.  If you did not receive a ballot, please contact us at admin@nwmogenealogy.org.

Call for Submissions to the Journal  (General Interest)
Friday, September 19
The Journal was not published this spring due to lack of stories.  We will use the same theme for the Fall Journal, so please do send your stories (the sooner, the better)!  The due date for the Fall Journal is September 15.
 
The theme is "Farms." This might include land acquisition, land disputes, crops, hardships, weather events, hired hands, farming innovations, animals, urban livestock (backyard chicken coops), anything about acquiring and maintaining a family farm.
Your submission should be in a word processor such as Word, or can be typed into the body of your email.  Please do not send PDF files.
We encourage you to include pictures.
